  • Salt and Pepper- this costume is pretty self explanatory, for those of you who don’t have time to think too much about a costume.  Other ideas in this category include : peanut butter and jelly, ketchup and mustard, and sugar and  spice.

  • Pinata and pinata hitter- I’m not sure if pinata hitter is the correct term, but one dress as the pinata and the other is blind folded holding a stick.  So much fun!

  • iPhone – (credit to my husband for this one) One person dresses up as a phone and the other either dresses as the letter “i” or as an eye ball.  I didn’t find this one on a google search so you can be the first!
  • Painter and paintingSimple and adorable!

  • American Gothic- a go-to classic.

  • Mr. Clean and a housewife- perfect costume if your hubby is already bald :)

  • Uncle Sam and Statue of Liberty- if your husband is Canadian like mine you could adjust it to be the Statue of Liberty and a Mountie.

  • Burger King and Dairy Queen- I hope this costume comes with a blizzard!

  • Danny and Sandy from Grease- a tried and true hit.  If you’d like to switch it up a bit try having the girl be Danny and the boy be Sandy!  Other great famous couples to imitate are : Sonny and Cher, JFK and Marylin Monroe, Cleopatra and Julias Caesar, and Ken and Barbie.

We’re planning on going as characters from Final Fantasy XII. (Nerds much?) I should probably start working on them…

I love the Salt and Pepper shakers! Another idea is to dress up like a little old man and a little old lady. I’ve been wanting to try that for years and haven’t had a chance yet!

We don’t celebrate halloween, but we do enjoy dresssing up. This weekend we are going to the Renaissance Festival. I am so excited!
